Sandra Steier is a Vancouver portrait and editorial photographer with more than 20 years of experience creating refined, magazine-quality imagery for individuals, professionals, and publications. With a studio in Steveston, Richmond, and offering on-location photography throughout Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, she specializes in professional headshots, personal branding photography, and editorial portraits for executives, actors, models, graduates, and business owners.

Sandra has photographed over 150 magazine covers across Vancouver’s community publications. Before stepping fully behind the camera, she spent seven years working as a model in Japan and worked both in front of and behind the scenes in Vancouver’s film industry. She later became an acting coach, experience that informs her calm, confident direction style and her ability to guide clients naturally in front of the lens.

When she’s not working with clients, she’s raising twin teenage boys, skiing the beautiful mountains of BC, walking her dog along the Steveston waterfront, and studying improv.

She recently completed a course at BCIT in Video Journalism.
